On this Christmas Day, let’s allow ourselves to dream a little… and imagine a world where…
An Advent calendar rich in reflection
For those who followed my Advent calendar on social media, you may have noticed that yesterday’s word was (December 24) was "Imagine".
As has been the case every day since the beginning of December, the word of the day lingers in my mind, nudging me to reflect, and helping me notice the influence it has in my life.
Offering ourselves a world where...
Yesterday's word "Imagine" made me dream and imagine a world that brings together all the words of this Advent calendar. So, on this Christmas Day, I'd like to offer us all the right to imagine a world where:
We have the courage to be authentic and true to who we are at our core, to speak up for what goes against our vision and values, to follow our path and have a voice.
We remain open to differences, to others, and to vulnerability, both ours and theirs.
We feel free to fully live in the present moment, to release suppressed emotions and to consciously choose what resonates most with us (regardless of society's "expectations").
We give ourselves the means to succeed, to reach our goals, to live our vision and to be successful, in whatever form it takes.
We see and feel more of the beauty that surrounds us and lives within each of us.
We cultivate the will to act for our well-being and that of others, no matter the obstacles and challenges.
We focus more on the rays of light that illuminate our path, rather than the corners of shadow and darkness that dim it, including those we may cast on someone else’s path.
We concentrate on the abundance that surrounds and fills us, rather than on what we lack.
We find joy in learning and continually educating ourselves, because through education we better understand and accept differences.
We take pleasure in the small gestures and simple moments of everyday life.
We're not afraid to let new ideas birth and emerge, even those that disrupt our status quo but allow us to learn and grow.
We take ourselves less seriously and leave more room for play, for our inner child.
We show integrity and remain aligned with who we are, no matter the consequences or difficulties that may arise.
We find, each day, ways to stay enthusiastic and excited about change, novelty and the present moment life offers us.
We stay patient with ourselves and others, accepting that everything unfolds in its own time.
We maintain a certain physical, mental and emotional balance, and recognize the early signs of imbalance so that we can address it in time.
We have the strength to move forward, persevere, believe in ourselves, in others, and in humanity.
We dare to step back when our thoughts feel tangled or when we feel misunderstood, allowing the dust to settle so clarity can emerge.
We recognize love in all its forms, from the small daily gestures, the unexpected exchanges with strangers, the moments shared with friends, family or in intimacy, to the rays of sunlight warming our face or the birdsong crossing our path. Love is everywhere!
We offer ourselves daily moments of calm, to integrate, become aware, reflect, or simply empty our minds, depending on what we need then.
We give more space to inspiration, our inner genius, to follow our vision, our path, our inner voice.
We feel more serene about our choices, our perceptions, our journey, and we accept differences, both ours and those of others.
We recognize the different forms of brotherhoods we share and what each of them brings into our life.
The importance of words... for a joyful holiday season!
🎄I wish you all a very joyful holiday season, however you choose to celebrate it this year!
May these words help you become more aware of the value and importance of the words we use to communicate with ourselves and with others.✨
