Art and our health... is there a correlation?

A presence... far from social media!

Although I've been less present on social media over the past month, I've been no less present in person, helping people around me through various realizations and awakenings, some easier than others, but each as important as the next.

The art of group coaching!

Yesterday was one of those moments where I witnessed the power of a group coaching session!

From personal awareness...

Following a certain personal realization about the scope and significance of art for everyone while brainstorming activity ideas with colleagues, I had the chance to lead a group coaching session yesterday on the subject.

To collective awareness!

If the subject seemed to surprise the participants at first, it proved to be revealing for all as to the importance that art has had and still has in their lives, as well as that they wish to give it from now on.

From art to science!

Artists have long recognized the importance of the arts for our health and fulfillment, but it's only recently that scientific research has been able to confirm this fact.

Did you know?

  • Art allows us to stimulate several regions of our brain at the same time, creating new neuropathic connections (neuroplasticity).

  • Art also enables us to better regulate our emotions, allowing us to express ourselves and even release long-suppressed emotions (catharsis).

  • Art sparks our imagination, and can enable us to see new possibilities and perspectives, perhaps even to glimpse a brighter future.

  • Art can even improve our concentration, allowing us to enter "the zone" where we totally lose track of time, space and even self.

Interesting fact!

The benefits of art can be observed both in those who create it and in those who witness it!

Now it's your turn!

What role does art play in your life? When do you tend to turn to art?

How do you feel after either creating something yourself or witnessing a piece of art?

How about exploring this topic further?

Don't hesitate to contact me to schedule a one-to-one or group session to explore this subject further (or any other that interests you)! You'll be able to experience the art of coaching for yourself!

The first introductory session is free!
